Music City Skate Jam Benefits Hurricane Victims

Skate and country-music fans descended upon downtown Nashville’s Walk Of Fame Park September 10 for the Music City Skate Jam.

Conceived by Tony Hawk and platinum recording artist Kip Moore, whose Kip’s Kids Fund creates skate spots in the American south, the MCSJ included an all-star vert demo on Tony’s ramp and a concert by Kip and special guest Jordan Davis. The vert demo was emceed by Corbin Harris and featured Tony skating with legends and young-bloods Elliot Sloan, Jordyn Barratt, Evan Doherty, Kevin Staab, Alan Young, and Jake Wooten. As the hurricanes that hit Texas and Florida took shape in the week ahead of the event, Tony and Kip added a hurricane-relief component to the MCSJ. They encouraged event attendees to contribute, raising $15,000 for organizations providing direct services to hurricane victims.
