Skate park construction to begin in April
Harrison’s skate-park committee is alive and well, with plans for construction to begin in April, according to the committee chairman.
Richard Milner, who has been on the skate-committee since it formed in 2003, said local surveyor Charlie McCutcheon will survey the property next week.
Construction will begin in April on the new Harrison Skate Park, according to Richard Milner, skate-park committee chairman. Financial contributions for the new park are being sought, according to Milner.
The new skate park will be built on the site of the current dilapidated skate park, which is situated on a city-owned parking lot between Stephenson Street and Central Avenue. The city has an agreement with the skate-park committee that they can use the property rent-free.
